Leo and the 3056, 2014.
Published in Squishzine Brunstown, a collection of comics about Brunswick and its surrounds.
3056 is the postcode for Brunswick, a suburb with a large population of Laconian Greeks. As a result it has been declared the sister city to Sparta in Greece, and a statue of the Spartan King Leonidas stands off Sydney Rd to commemorate this fact.
Squishzine Brunstown is a free publication - contact me if you’d like one [all you will pay is postage].
‘George and Lilian’ is a short illustrated piece tracing the lives of my great-grandparents who immigrated from England in the 1910s. It examines one of the less celebrated facets of Australian history.
