Published in Squishzine Brunstown, a free publication funded by Moreland City Council’s public art program. This collection of comics about the suburb of Brunswick received a Bronze Ledger at the 2015 Ledger Awards.

Brunswick is a suburb with a large population of Laconian Greeks, and as a result it has been declared the sister city to Sparta in Greece. A statue of the Spartan King Leonidas stands off Sydney Road on Sparta Place. Having grown up hearing stories about Leonidas and his band of warriors I was delighted to find out that he had, in a way, retired to Brunswick...
